Family and business papers of Dubreuil, a French monarchist, lieutenant colonel of the French Army, who was stationed in Santo Domingo during part of the French Revolution and who later became the founder of a wealthy cane and cotton-planting family of Louisiana. Includes petitions, proposed laws, census returns, treasury reports, copies of speeches made in the Louisiana Territorial Legislature regarding Louisiana's relationship to the U.S. government, and a volume of verse.
